Roll cages are mandatory for any car either running 10.99 or quicker or capable of exceeding 135 mph must be equipped with a roll cage. When driver is in driving position in an open bodied car, roll cage must be at least 3” in front of helmet. Nhra tracks require a 6 point roll bar 11.49 and quicker. Portion above shoulder hoop may be width of roll cage bars, unless radiator extends above top of shoulder hoop.
