The Wonky Donkey Book Review. Like many parents, i am doing my best to raise my kids to be accepting of all and to have compassion for those who struggle. A special anniversary edition celebrating wonky's 10th birthday!
It's the funniest illustrated book i have read in ages. Like many others, i thought the video with the scottish grandma reading it was adorable, so i bought it thinking it would be fun to read to my 7 year old and my toddler. Each page tells something new about the donkey.
The more you go on the more you learn about the dinky donkey!
Scholastic, $19.99 rrp publication date: There is also an accompanying cd. This book is from a british author and word meanings can differ between american english and british english, but it felt a bit insensitive to call a donkey wonky because he only has three legs. “where the wild things are” by maurice sendak has under 350 words, but it can take a while thanks to the fanciful illustrations.
