I read one of sally hepworth’s earlier novels last year and immediately connected with her writing style and storytelling approach. When diana, the matriarch of the goodwin family, unexpectedly dies soon after her beloved husband’s death, suicide seems the logical explanation. Here are some more recommendations along with links to book club questions. Yet, she was hard on her own children and generally very critical of everything, repeating the pattern of her own childhood.
