The Hot Zone Book Review. It read like fiction to me at the time and it was horrifying. Thanks to this book, i am now a little more aware of the affects of war on the noncombatant civilian.
Richard preston has answered all my troubling questions by telling the scientific truth that was withheld by news coverage during the epidemic. Parents need to know that the hot zone is a dramatic miniseries based on actual events surrounding the 1989 ebola virus outbreak at a research facility in the united states. The hot zone is not a zombie book and yet, it feels much more terrifying than one, because it describes a very virulent disease that can potentially wipe out up to 90% of the world's population.
There’s enough suspense and distress here to make the hot zone an engaging, if not exactly fun, summer viewing experience.
