Set in 2017 and early 1940’s this book follows harriet, in the present, who goes to paris as an intern at a fashion public relations company. “after twenty years spent mastering the art of dressmaking at couture houses in paris, tilly dunnage returns to the small australian town she was banished from as a child. As much as she believes in more rights for the people, giselle. That being said, my favorite character for this book was claire, harriet’s grandmother.
