Surface Book Keyboard Backlight. You have to turn it on or off manually. When you press the backlight/f7 key it cycles through 4 levels of backlighting, one of which is off.

If i leave it alone the lights go off and i can see the keyboard but the moment i start to type they light up again making it impossible to use.
