Orphan Train Book Review. January 27, 2018 january 27, 2018 ~ sara sheehy. Orphan train by christina baker kline.
I noticed all the good reviews and publicity surrounding orphan train when the book. The book is based on the orphan train movement, a supervised welfare programme in the united states of america from 1854 to 1929, which transported orphans. Seriously, though, this is a very moving work of art.
Although this particular story of molly and vivian is fictional, the orphan trains were real, and a piece of history i had never heard of.
Vivian’s journey wasn’t entirely happy. I knew the book was based on true stories of children shipped across america in the early part of the last century. Orphan train by christina baker kline. Even though historical fiction isn’t my thing, orphan train is going into my must read list of books.
