4/5 stars to kacey, life with her father and his family in broken falls is a far cry from her life with her mother, with her string of terrible, temperamental boyfriends and her own crazy breakdowns. The main characters in little monsters —kacey, bailey, and jade—are an amalgamation of the various girls i knew in high school. In contrast, when darren, arianne, and company split off they are killed off one by one, whereas darren opting sacrifice himself to arianne leads arianne to stay and help the locals kill the monsters for good, proving that collective action is effective. Kacey is the new girl in broken falls.
