Gene Wolfe Book Of The New Sun Analysis. The plot itself is apparently unremarkable. There are two things about the new sun and wolfe in general that i think are worth noting:

The very title, “the book of the new sun”, is alchemical in theme: David hartwell convinced wolfe there was material for a fifth book. The new sun imminent, but not yet dawned.
And a later sequel, the urth of the new sun, published in 1988.
