First edition, first printing, of wharton’s classic novel about the tragic results of unregulated industry and the need for labor reform.
Starring geraldine chaplin as lily bart and william atherton as lawrence selden. The custom of the country, 1913. I know some high school curriculum does include some of their books, but mine definitely didn’t. Which is such a shame.
