The parade, the latest compelling tale from dave eggers, is a short book, but not at the expense of anything it needs to function as a taut, direct and lean narrative. Dave eggers has spent much of his life figuring out how best to help people. Valentino’s story stands alone as powerful and worth reading and eggers ’ superb writing compellingly brings valentino’s voice and story to life. I understand that this was probably egger’s intention, but i didn’t enjoy these parts so much.
